“EVV” stands for Electronic Visit Verification. EVV uses technology to record the date, time, and place your workers provide services to you at the start and end of each shift. The following six items are captured during each visit.

  1. The person receiving the service
  2. The person providing the service
  3. The service being provided
  4. Date of service
  5. Time in/out of service
  6. Location of service

Workers providing Personal Care (T1019 and T1020) or Routine Supportive Home Care services (S5125 and S5126) are required to use EVV, unless you are verified as a live-in provider.

A live-in worker is a worker who permanently resides in the same residence as the client receiving services. To see if you qualify as a live-in provider, please visit: https://www.forwardhealth.wi.gov/kw/pdf/2023-12.pdf

EVV has been required in the IRIS program since January 1st, 2021.

As of May 1st, 2023, the Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) will start to impose consequences if EVV requirements are not met.

For more information on the EVV policy, please visit https://www.dhs.wisconsin.gov/publications/p03053.pdf

Provider Agencies will not receive payment until we receive EVV visit information.

Participant-Hired Workers will still receive payment for time submitted, however, there are limits on how often this can occur before consequences are imposed. For more information please visit: https://www.dhs.wisconsin.gov/publications/p03053.pdf

Please contact your assigned Agent to help you get started. Our Agents will help you determine the best method to use for you to be successful with EVV. If you do not know your Agent, please contact our call center at (877) 901-5826 or send us an email at outreach.wi@outreachfiscalagent.com

There are two options available for you to use.

  1. DCI Mobile App which allows you to clock-in and clock-out on your smart phone during your shift.
  2. DCI Phone EVV which requires a landline at the participant’s home to clock in/out during a shift.

Our Agents will help you determine the best method to use for you to be successful with EVV. If you do not know your Agent, please contact our call center (877) 901-5826.

We encourage you to review the instructions on our website to become more familiar with these options. For more information, please visit our EVV resources page.
